Dieser BLOG Eintrag hat zwar nichts mit VSTO zu tun, aber mit Community.In meiner Jugend bin ich in der Breakdance-Zeit aufgewachsen und ich liebe immer noch die alten knisternden Vinyls wie Planet Rock, The Message, Friends, Freestyle etc.Ab und zu werde ich auch immer noch als (DJ Flash) gebucht und dieses mal ist es mir eine besondere Ehre gemeinsam mit Old Skool Daddy DJ Chris Crisp aufzulegen und die alten (echten) HipHop-Scheiben aus der Kiste zu holen. Ich glaube das wird etwas ganz besonderes. Allen Oldskool-Liebhabern, Tanzwütigen und B-Boys unter uns kann ich deshalb nur empfehlen:Lasst die Kinder zuhause und kommt vorbei zu R&B, Soul, Black, Electro-Funk, Poppin', Breakin' und Eelctric-Boogaloo wie in alten Zeiten.
Und wer ganz dringend einen Tipp zu Outlook-Programmierung benötigt, für den ist dies sicher eine gute Gelegenheit mich persönlich kennenzulernen.

In Issue 07/2010 of the DotNetPro magazin is an article that I wrote about going behind the Outlook Object Model and using the Windows API to implement an additional event that is missing in the Outlook Version 2003, but new in Outlook 2007. This event is called Inspector "PageChanged" and is fired when the user has selected another page in the Inspector Window. I find this useful and had a requirement for a customer to have this also available in Outlook 2003. So I hacked something together and published an article about it.
On this way I also want to say a big THANK YOU to the team of DotNetPro for supporting us at the Office Community Day 2010 at Microsoft/Unterschleißheim.

In der Ausgabe 07/2010 des Fachmagazins DotNetPro kann man einen weiteren Artikel von mir lesen. In dem Artikel geht es darum einen fehlenden Event im Outlook Objekt Modell nachzubauen. Mit der Version 2007 von Outlook kam eine neue Inspector "PageChange" Benachrichtigung ins Objektmodell. Im Heft 07/2010 können Sie Nachlesen, wie Sie diesen Event ebenso für Outlook 2003 realisieren können.

Wie kann man auf einfachstem Wege auf Bilder für Ribbon-Steuerelemente wie oder aus Projektresourcen laden?Im ersten Schritt müssen die Bilder dem Projekt als Resource hinzugefügt werden.
Dazu öffnet man die Eigenschaften des Projekts und wechselt auf den Karteireiter "Resourcen", und importiert die gewünschten Bilddateien.In der Abbildung oben ist der Resourcen-Eigenschaften-Seite von Visual Studio 2010(en) zu sehen.Achtung: Nach dem Importieren einer Datei hat diese nicht den kompletten Dateinamen als Bezeichnung. Der Name ist üblicherweise der Dateiname ohne Endung. Aus "questionred.png" wird zum Beispiel "questionred".Wie wird nun auf diese Bilder per Programmcode zugegriffen?Im Ribbon.xml muss dazu üblicherweise eine Callback-Methode definiert werden:

What is the easiest way to load images to controls like a or a into a Ribbon.First you start by import an Image as Resource into your solution.
You can do it by opening the properties of your solution, select the "Resources"-tab and import an existing Image file.In the example above you can see the Resources Property Page of Visual Studio2010.Important: After importing an Image as Resource have a look at the name. It's not the full filename – after importing it, it's the filename without the extension.So, when importing a file "questionred.png" it's listed as "questionred".
How will you access this Images in your Solution?In the Ribbon.XML normally you define the getImage="Getimage_Method" attribute:button

Es betrifft die Outlook Versionen 2002 bis 2010.Es gibt sowohl eine 32-bit als auch eine 64-bit Variante, und ein eigenes Tool für Exchangeserveraktualisierung.
